Vorbild: Schwere Diesel-Rangierlokomotive 290 188-2 der Deutschen Bundesbahn (DB). Purpurrote Grundfarbgebung. Betriebszustand um 1980. Einsatz: Rangier- und Güterzüge.

Modell: Eingebauter Digital-Decoder und Geräuschgenerator zum Betrieb mit DCC und Selectrix. Motor mit Schwungmasse, 4 Achsen angetrieben. Haftreifen. Fahrtrichtungsabhängig wechselndes Dreilicht-Spitzensignal und 2 rote Schlusslichter konventionell in Betrieb, digital schaltbar, Führerstandsbeleuchtung. Angesetzte Griffstangen. Länge über Puffer 89 mm.
