Die Lokalbahnlokomotive mit der Gattungsbezeichnung PtL 2/2 (Personenzug-Tenderlokomotive für Lokalbahnen) ist bei Eisenbahnfreunden sicher eine der bekanntesten Dampflokomotiven aus der alten Zeit. Der Volksmund nannte sie: Glaskastl, Schnauferle, Quietscherle, Bockl usw. Ihre Leistung war mit 210 PS angegeben. 40 km/h durften sie fahren – liefen aber nach Berichten von Lokomotivführern 60 km/h und mehr.
