Ab 1954 wurden bei den Niederländischen Staatsbahnen die ersten Lokomotiven der Serie 2400 in Dienst gestellt. Neben einigen Personenzügen bespannten sie hauptsächlich Güterzüge und waren im Rangierdienst eingesetzt.
