Die DB Bahnbau Gruppe ist für die Planung, Erstellung und Instandhaltung von Anlagen der Infrastruktur, insbesondere der Eisenbahninfrastruktur zuständig. Zur Beförderung der Züge besitzt das Unternehmen eigene Lokomotiven. Für die schwersten Aufgaben steht eine gelbe „Ludmilla“ – Loknummer 233 493 – mit dem charakteristischen Namen „Tiger“ zur Verfügung. Diese Lok, sowjetischen Ursprungs, erhielt beim Umbau 2002/03 einen neuen 2.206 kW starken Kolomna-Dieselmotor. Seit 2014 rackert sie für die Gleisbautruppe.
